The 411 on Energy and Employment: Why All Americans Need to Be Part of the Conversation
Sponsored by: American Petroleum Institute
Room 146-A
Synopsis: U.S. oil and natural gas industries touch our lives in countless ways each day. They also contribute more than $86 million daily to the federal treasury and support more than 7% of GDP and 9 million jobs nationwide. The availability of energy from oil and natural gas in the U.S. is influenced by developments in the market worldwide. However, as the emphasis for “clean” fuels and innovation in the production of traditional fossil fuel grows, so do the industry’s economic and employment opportunities. This session will provide new insight into those opportunities. Public policy leaders, industry experts and private decision makers will provide attendees with an up-close view of the various segments of the energy industry, as well as the career and business opportunities within these influential corporations.
