PROGRAMMEThis course provides instruction and hands on practice in all methods of operative vaginal birth (both rotational and non-rotational) to facilitate the achievement of the OSAT competencies on the RCOG Training Matrix. Techniques for performing a caesarean section at full dilation are also covered. The course consists of short lectures, hands-on workshops and small group discussions on teamwork and communication.

10.00 Practical instruction OVB:
Delegates to attend all three workshops on a rotational
basis (25 min per workshop)
- Nonrotational vacuum
- Manual rotation and direct OPpull, including pudendal block
- Nonrotational forceps
