Title

Reseach into Relationships & Sexual Health of Young People with Physical & Sensory Impairments

2.2

Description of the goods or services required

On behalf of the Glasgow Young People’s Sexual Health Steering Group, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde seeks to appoint a research agency to conduct a Glasgow wide consultation survey in relation to the sexual health, wellbeing and relationship needs of young people with physical and sensory impairments. To provide a complete picture of how planners and services need to respond to the needs of young people, the survey will be conducted with three sets of survey participants

• Young people aged 13 to 19 with physical and sensory impairments

• The parents/carers of young people with physical and sensory impairments

• Staff that work to support and educate young people with physical and sensory impairments.

This consultation survey, owing to the various communication needs presented by some of the participants, will be multi-method and utilising both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The successful agency will be able to demonstrate a track record of conducting both sexual health and disability related research.

Tenders will be issued after EOI closing date of 21st October.
