WATERSHED AMBASSADOR
Anthony Coleman, watershed ambassador for WMA #3 was present. He is looking for a water-related project. It was suggested to him, by a scout looking for a project, that it might be good to have a walkway over wetlands at Lake Henry, Continental Soldiers Park. He also explained the types of projects and water-related issues in which he could be involved. Commission members were not sure about the need for a wooden walkway.
J. Spiech suggested stream bank stabilization, cleaning out a specified area, and signs.
S. Golz mentioned an area on the right side of the trail going towards the pump house. She said it is a wetland, vernal pool area.
It was decided that Susan would meet Anthony tomorrow, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at Lake Henry so that they can discuss on site. Anthony will stop by town hall on the way to see Jane to get a map of Continental Soldiers Park showing the wetland areas. Anthony Coleman’s phone number is 973 962-6602.
