Dear Prospective Education Booth Participant,
The Family Living Committee of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, Inc. invites you to apply for booth space in the “Education Booth” tent at our 2014 show in Portage County. This event will be held August 12-14 of 2014. Showtimes include Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Thursday 9:00a.m. -4:00 p.m. The attendance at the show is expected to be up to 60,000 during the three days. Please consider the following guidelines in making your decision to apply.
1. Set up hours are Monday, August 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All exhibits must be in place and ready to view by 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August, 12. You may drive up to the tent each morning until 8:30 a.m. to unload if needed. All vehicles must be removed from tent city by 8:300 a.m.
2. All exhibits are required to have a person present at the booth during all hours of the show. Family Living volunteers will be available for breaks.
3. Information and products must present an educational message beyond promoting a commercial product. We encourage exhibitors to interact with visitors by providing an activity or service (i.e. demonstrations, quizzes, screenings, games, etc.).
4. No products may be sold from the educational booths during the show. Orders may be taken for later delivery.
5. Promotional materials may be distributed to the public.
6. Distribution of food and use of the Farm Technology Days logo is not allowed unless approved by the Portage County Farm Technology Executive Committee.
7. Exhibit space must be kept clean throughout the show and must be left clean at the conclusion of the show.
8. No exhibitor shall use any sound equipment or make excessive noise that will interfere with any other display or presentation.
9. Information provided on application by exhibitors will be used online and in press releases to promote the event. This may include your name, address, e-mail, phone, and type of display.
10. Your booth area will be about 10’ by 10’ and will include an 8 foot table, two chairs, a back curtain, skirting for the table, and a 2’ by 3’ sign identifying your group. Electricity and internet are available if ordered on your application. All supplies should be kept in a plastic container and left on the top of the tables or chairs each evening in case of rain.
11. No exhibit can be removed before 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2014.
12. All vendors are required to have liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000. If you do not currently have a liability policy, you may purchase one from Wisconsin Farm Technology Days for the duration of the show. The cost is $100.
13. Final booth assignments will be made by the committee and will be available at check-in.
14. Additional information will be provided if your organization is selected to participate. You will be notified by March 15.
