SUNY Canton – Bachelor of Technology in Emergency and Disaster Management

The State University of New York, Canton College of Technology offers a Bachelor of Technology in Emergency Management. This degree program is available only via online coursework, although opportunities to develop and participate in real-life exercises as well as internships are available. The program is designed for either the traditional student who has an interest in this field of study or for those emergency managers or other public service professionals who may have a desire to enhance their current job skills or explore different career paths. As part of their program, students will utilize state-of-the-art computer software to develop exercise plans, as well as participate in simulated disaster scenarios. The Bachelor of Technology in Emergency Management requires up to 120 to 122 semester credit hours to complete.
