Position Summary

The Tenant/Programs Coordinator is responsible for the day to day delivery of programs that support affordablehousing targets and recommendations contained within the Affordable Housing and Homelessness PreventionStrategy. Reporting to the Manager, Housing Programs, the Tenant/Programs Coordinator will assist with functionsrelated to the creation and ongoing requirements of affordable housing programs such as rent supplements,homeownership, and secondary suites, in accordance with the policies of the County and applicable Provincial andFederal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver, process, and monitor Rent Supplement/Housing Allowance contracts and related documents within theparameters of County-approved policies and Provincial/Federal guidelines.
  2. Process and monitor affordable housing program applications for the purpose of determining eligibility within theparameters of County-approved policies and Provincial/Federal guidelines, such as Secondary Suites and/orAffordable Homeownership.

Position Requirements

  1. Completion of a two (2) year community college diploma in Social Sciences or Business Administration orequivalent.
  2. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in progressively responsible, related positions, including one (1) yearas a Coordinator or similar position in a large, multi-location organization.
  3. Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs.
  4. Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Good communication, planning, analytical and organizational skills.
  6. Self-motivated, able to act independently and as part of a team.
  7. Proven ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  8. Knowledge of word-processing, YARDI, AIMS systems, and spreadsheet application skills.
  9. Valid G class driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  10. Criminal reference check with vulnerable sector clearance.
  11. Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.

Compensation

$61,433 - $73,718 per annum

Temporary, Full Time - Anticipated length of contract is 13 months, with possibility of permanency
