2018SUNNYVALE RAIDERS SOCCER- New Comers
Tryouts:
- Boys: Will be held the first Tues. & Wed. after Thanksgiving (11/28 & 29)
- Girls: Will be held Thurs. 11/30 & Fri. 12/1
Location: Grass practice field/Raider Stadium.
Time: Promptly @ 3:30 PM
Soccer Tryout Requirements
- Must attend both days: The week after Thanksgiving
- Complete all fitness and skill tests.
- Maintain passing grades. (No pass no play requirements)
- Refrain from discipline referrals and suspensions.
- Maintain a positive attitude and hard work ethic during all practices, workouts and tryouts.
- Age or grade level does not guarantee a player a position on the Varsity team.
- Last year’s returners are not guaranteed a spot. EVERYONE MUST TRYOUT AGAIN!!
- Teams will be picked based on skill level, work ethic, attitude, grades, behavior, attendance, and punctuality.
- Turn in all UIL compliance forms to the coach/ trainer. (Online this year.)
- Have a completed Physical on file with the trainer prior to tryouts!
- Making the team does not guarantee any specific amount of playing time.
- Teams will be made at the completion of tryouts.
- 20-22-man roster, 10 practice squad players. (Max)
- Shin guards & socks are required for all training sessions.
- All practices will be mandatory during season. (Conflicts will need to be arranged w/ Coach Campos)
- Boys: 7:00 AM- 8:20 AM (2 after school sessions: Mondays & Thursdays)
- Girls: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Information about regular season [December thru Mid-April]
- Before/After school practices will start Dec. 4th (1:30 hrs. sessions)
- Christmas Break practices/scrimmages will start Dec. 27th
- 1st Scrimmage Thurs., Dec. 28th
- Alumni Game Sat., Dec. 30th
- Pre Season games start the 1st Week of January.
- Season ends in Mid-April. State Tournament
- We will practice during the last week of the Christmas Holiday and Spring Break!!
