AVL is undertaking advanced research and development activities in the field of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Such functions aim to increase vehicle safety as well as driver comfort. Novel ADAS such as Traffic Light Assistant (TLA) and Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control (CACC) shall substantially reduce the environmental impact of individual transportation by improving fuel consumption and reducing emissions.

Combining and processing various data from driving route information, car-2-car, car-2-infrastructure communication and on-board information with information of energetic costs of ego vehicle opens up the possibility to generate optimal control strategies for various driving situations.

AVL is looking for a highly motivated student who wants to write his/her Master’s Thesis in this field in close collaboration to AVL.
