Learning Objectives

The first objective of this course is to make students understand the theory of tourism policies and sustainability. In order to reach this objective students may be asked to prepare the summary of selected topics from the textbook mentioned below. Secondly students must be able to analyze the tourism destinations in Turkey from the sustainability perspective by which the theory and practice will be compared. Tools of this objective is to prepare a research paper which will be explained as required.

Class Rules

Students are expected to act in accordance with the University’s regulation. Please be aware the rules on class attendance (at least 75 percent), lateness (within first 10 minutes), plagiarism, cheating or attempt to cheat, language of speaking in the class, cellular phone rings and so on.

Grading

  • Analysis of Tourism Development of Amasya, (10 points). See the Instruction for the Research Paper
  • Homework (20 points) which will explained as we progress.
  • Preparation of research paper on tourism destinations in Turkey, and presentation in the classroom, (30 points) See the Instruction for the Research Paper
  • Final exam (40 points)
