CONDITIONS OF HIRE

EFFECTIVE 1/7/2008

DEPOSIT

$500 – EXECUTIVE N.B. DOUBLE BOND FOR

$1,000 – DIPLOMAT & SIROCCO & SENATOR NON MIXED GROUPS

This deposit is required within 14 days to secure your booking.

Hire fee payable on arrival.

For Christmas, January and Easter periods, the full hire shall be required to be paid 6 weeks in advance.

SECURITY BOND

Your deposit becomes the security bond on arrival. At the completion of your holiday your boat is checked and your bond is refunded within seven days, less fuel and gas charges and cost of repair or replacement of any equipment damaged or lost in the course of the hire. If returned overly late or in a heavily soiled condition, a deduction will be made.

INSURANCE

Our insurance policy has an excess of $2,000. The insurance does not cover the hirer for the following:

(a)  Damage caused while operating the boat under the influence of alcohol.

(b)  Negligence.

(c)  Willful damage.

IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL

Cancellation of any booking must be made at least 30 days in advance (60 days for Senator, Diplomat and Sirocco) of hire and no monies will be refunded until the full period of booking has been rebooked. A 10% cancellation fee will be charged.

COMMENCEMENT OF HIRE

All hiring commences at 3 p.m. on the first day and concludes at 9 a.m. on the last day. Any request for an earlier start can only be confirmed on the afternoon of the day before your hire.

FUEL

Period of hire is commenced with a full tank of fuel and fuel used from the boats tank is to be deducted from the security deposit on termination, plus standard gas charge.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Hire rates may be varied and the rate that shall apply is the rate on the company’s rate sheet at the time of your arrival.

Any calls on the lake for a boat run aground will be charged petrol and labour at cost. We have staff on call 7 days a week to assist with problems if they occur for which we make no charge. We do not expect hirers to make minor claims for malfunctions of equipment beyond our control.
