Animal Welfare Conference

The SNSI Animal Welfare Conference sets the stage for all of Indiana’s shelters and rescue groups to come together, learn from one another, network, strategize, and save more lives. Our shared goal is for every Indiana shelter to achieve zero-kill status, defined as having a live release rate of 90% or greater.
This statewide conference promises to attract staff and leadership from 250 leading animal welfare organizations. This conference offers sponsors an opportunity to reach a statewide audience of shelter and rescue groups.The Indianapolis location will allowconvenient travel to the conference, and because there is only a minimal fee to attend, volunteer-based organizations will not be limited by budget constraints.
The conference will focus on the ongoing work in Indiana, with various animal welfare leaders presenting information on their life-saving strategies and community/regional partnerships. As Indiana’s only statewide financial assistance organization, SNSI is helping move animal shelters to zero-kill status by following the professional animal welfare literature of states that have achieved this monumental goal. Bringing Indiana’s shelters and rescue groups together for an opportunity to connect and learn will certainly facilitate our ability to achieve our shared objectives.
