INTRODUCTIONWHAT:During this period you will learn the Rank Structure RoyalCanadian Sea Cadets.
WHY:It is important for a cadet to be able to identify the different ranks in the Sea Cadets in order to pay the proper respect.
WHERE:You will apply this knowledge in your interaction with different ranks of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets at tri-service activities and Summer Training Centres.

STAGE 1SEA CADET RANK BADGES
1.General:
In the Sea Cadet program you can advance in rank depending on the training completed and if you pass qualifying exams for some ranks. It is important that Air Cadets know the rank structure of the other cadet programs.
2.Sea Cadet Rank Badges:
a.Able Cadet
This Badge consists of a single chevron.
b.Leading Cadet
This badge consists of two chevrons and a fouled anchor.
c.Cadet Qualified Petty Officer Second class
This badge consists of threechevrons and a fouled anchor.
d.Petty Officer Second Class
This badge containsthree chevrons and two crossedanchors.
e.Cadet Qualified Petty Officer First Class
A Tudor crown symbolizes this rank badge over two crossed
anchors and three chevrons.
f.Cadet Petty Officer First Class
This rank consists of a Tudor crown.
g.Cadet Chief Petty Officer Second Class
A Tudor crown surrounded by a wreath symbolizes thisrank.
h.Cadet Chief Petty Officer First Class
This rank is represented by the Canadian Coat of Arms.
