Aim of the course:

This Program is organized to present a basic course onreconstructive Dentistryusing Dental Implant. The course is a planned sequence of lectures, clinical demonstrations and extensive hands-on participation’s in diagnostic, and surgical and prosthetic procedures,includinghands - on training on Models and Animal Jaws.

Regina Mericske-Stern, Prof. Dr. med.dent.

C/V Short version

Regina Mericske-Stern was a student at the Dental School of Bern. Here she also completed her graduate training in Restorative Dentistry and in Prosthodontics. She became a Specialist in Prosthodontics and received the PhD degree in Prosthodontics and Implantology. As a Guest Professor she spent one year at the Dental School in Toronto (Prof. Zarb). She has lectured worldwide in over 25 countries at international meetings on various topics, particularly implants, prosthodontics and rehabilitation of the compromised dentition. She is the Director and Chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics, University of Bern. The student elected her teacher of the year and she runs the postgraduate training programm in Reconstructive Dentistry, including Implant Dentistry. She is a member of various national and international societies, honorary member of the Japanese Association of Implantology, currently President of the Swiss Geriatric Society and just finished her term as President of the International College of Prosthodontics (ICP). Her activities, both in clinical practice and clinical research, cover the field of oral implantology / implant prosthodontics and geriatric dentistry. These are represented in various publications, abstracts and book chapters.
