JOB TITLE:Regional Manager

JOB HOLDER: Vacant

1MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  • To develop, and to effectively deliver the regional fundraising strategy for a specific geographical region, working with the Community Development Manager and others within TLMEW
  • To forge excellent relationships with TLMEW individual supporters, churches, local volunteers and civic groups (e.g. Rotary Clubs), and promote best practice in fundraising
  • To manage ateam of volunteers

2POSITION IN ORGANISATION

  • Reports to the Community Development Manager
  • Receives guidance from theLegacy Officer
  • Works closely with otherRegional Managers and Donor Development colleagues

3SCOPE OF JOB

  • Under the direction of the Community Development Manager, to develop and deliver the fundraising strategy for an assigned geographical area; taking responsibility for the targeted annual income
  • Develop and nurture relationships with supporters so that income is maximised. Source, recruit and retain local supporters and churches
  • Actively promote the TLMEW Legacy Marketing programme with assistance and input from the Legacy Officer
  • Identify, recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers to support the work within the defined geographical area
  • Keep accurate records and be responsible for all personal administration, data entry, filing and financial reports

4DIMENSIONS & LIMITS OF AUTHORITY

  • Assist with the generation of an agreed amount of income per annum from the region.
  • Annual targets will be established and agreed with the Community Development Manager
  • Team target for 2016, £1,150,000.

5QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS LEVEL

  • Proven track record of success as a community fundraiser or have the requisite sales and marketing experience gained in the business sector.
  • The ability to ask for and elicit a financial response from various audiences, including churches
  • Proven track record of personally generating funds/sales in excess of £100,000
  • Excellent analytical skills, sound judgment and decision making, and the ability to carry through difficult decisions
  • Good IT and social media skills, including a thorough working knowledge of MS Office applications, email and accessing the Internet
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills to engage and enthuse audiences of all ages, and one-to-one discussions
  • Relationship building skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships and influence supporters, colleagues and volunteers
  • Excellent volunteer management skills with the ability to identify, recruit, train and manage a cadre of volunteers in your region
  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent relevant professional experience
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

6PROVEN ABILITY

  • Post holder requires a minimum of 2years’ experience of preaching and leading church services in a variety of church settings
  • Knowledge of and experience in community fundraising
  • Awareness of the practices of different church denominations, and ability to work with
  • Ability to work remotely, yet build networks

Part 2: DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB TITLE: Regional Manager

Ensure the delivery of the fundraising strategy for an assigned geographical area; taking responsibility for the targeted annual income 30%

  • Under the direction of the Community Development Manager, and in liaison with other Regional Managers, develop successful fundraising strategies for own region, and deliveron fundraising, and prayer support strategies, to include individuals, churches, and community groups (including secular groups such as WI groups)
  • Responsible for income generation in the defined geographical area, reporting issues to the Community Development Manager
  • Develop presentation material for self and volunteers

Develop and nurture relationships with supporters so that income is maximised. Source, recruit and retain local supporters and churches 25%

  • Identify and develop individual supporters, promoting Regular Giving via Direct Debit to meet annual targets
  • Proactively acquire new supporting churches and develop long term relationships with these
  • Have a focus on retention of supporters, providing excellent thanking, feedback, and supporter services

Actively promote the TLMEW Legacy Marketing programme with assistance and input from the Legacy Officer as appropriate. 10%

  • Working in close liaison with the Legacy Officer, create opportunities to share the message of legacy giving with supporters
  • Promote the benefit of legacy giving to supporters

Identify, recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers to support the work within the defined geographical are 25%

  • Identify areas of work in the geographical area where volunteers could enhance the purposes of the Mission
  • Recruit, motivate and train a team of volunteers to undertake engagements on behalf of TLMEW
  • Arrange volunteer speaker schedules for attendance at meetings on behalf of TLMEW and provide adequate cover as and when required
  • Monitor and sign-off volunteer expenses and mileage
  • Liaising with the Community Development Managerensure the volunteers are compliant with Fundraising and Health and Safety regulations, including equipment safety and complying with policies regarding Vulnerable People
  • Supervise volunteers and ensure that volunteers receive feedback, on-going training and an annual review
  • Support volunteers in their organisation of local fundraising events, including the generation of publicity to supporting and yet-to-support communities, ensuring all Health and Safety requirements are met through the use of risk assessments

Keep accurate records and be responsible for all personal administration, data entry, filing and financial reports. 10%

  • Ensure database records are updated and donation income is banked in a timely manner
  • Update and maintain records on Progress, including of volunteer activity, ensuring all meetings are recorded
  • Ensure all volunteer activity records are updated
  • Monitor the website to ensure accurate content on area events and issues, and report discrepancies to the Digital Fundraiser.
