Catalog Description:
10 - Career and Educational Planning 2 units
Exploration of the concept of educational/career planning focusing on personal career development through self-assessment, psychological testing, and individual counseling. Emphasis on clarification of individual interests, values, needs, and abilities and investigation of occupational opportunities in the world of work. Designed for those undecided or uncertain about their career and educational plans. May not receive credit if Psychology-Counseling 10A or 10B has been completed. 2 hours.

Expected Outcomes for Students:
Upon completion of the course the student should be able to:
- demonstrate understanding of personal career interests and abilities;
- demonstrate awareness of personal values and psychological needs;
- display ability to make meaningful educational and career decisions based on realistic and accurate self-assessment;
- demonstrate understanding of the world of work and available occupational alternatives.
