The ODT has been created to meet the development needs of the New Zealand sport and recreation sector. It has been designed to be flexible and is applicable to the wide variety
of sector organisations through an easy to use electronic platform. The assessments will
be carried out by a nationally trained Facilitator to ensure consistency of the process.
The ODT has been designed to provide a comprehensive view of the capability and performance of an organisation. The process provides clear direction for organisations wanting to improve
their performance.
This is achieved through the identification of areas of good practice and opportunities for development and improvement. It also provides organisations an opportunity to benchmark themselves against good practice across the full scope of their current and potential activities.
