Reducing the school’s environmental footprint

Data is sourced from school's annual utilities return and is reliant on the accuracy of these returns.

Our water supply is rain water and bore water. Students, staff and parents are very conscious of water conservation. Our school will be upgrading from 12 panels to 24 panelsin 2013.
One of our teachers took on the role as the Environmental Leader for Bauple State School. The SEMP plan was written and submitted during 2012.

Description of how non-attendance is managed by the school

Non-attendance is managed in state schools in line with the DET policies, SMS-PR-029: Managing Student Absences and SMS-PR-036: Roll Marking in State Schools, which outline processes for managing and recording student attendance and absenteeism.
At Bauple State School, we take attendance very seriously. If students are late (arriving past 9:00am) parents are to sign the student in at the office. If students are required to leave early, parents are required to sign the student out. Rolls are marked every day and collected weekly; attendance is recorded into ONESCHOOL.
Students who are away for 3 days or more in a row, notification is sent to the office and a follow up phone call is made. Attendance reports from ONESCHOOL are attached to the students’ report cards at the end of each semester.
At the end of the year, awards are handed out to the students who have had 5 days or less away from school.
