Global Arts Festival Booth Exhibitor

Deadline May 1, 2017

Arts in Bartlett, the local 501 (c)3 nonprofit arts council, in cooperation with the Village of Bartlett, Hanover Township, Bartlett Park District, Hanover Park Sister Cities Committee, and the Village of Streamwood Community Relations Committee presents a new event to celebrate the diversity within our community. Our vision for the Global Arts Festival is a colorful, exciting, inclusive weekend of multicultural music, art, crafts, dance, food, and audience participation event that bring together people of all nationalities represented in our area. Through sharing our culture, we can increase understanding and appreciation of all those in our community.

The Festival is in Bartlett Park, the beautiful shaded park at Oak and North Avenue just north of downtown Bartlett on Saturday & Sunday, June 24-25, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Booths for ethnic artists/crafters/free trade shops/food artisans/nonprofits will be throughout the park, with a family activity center. The main stage will feature musical acts and dancers. Another area will host participatory activities such as tai-chi, dance lessons, drumming circles. The Log Cabin will have demonstrations of skills such as Japanese flower arrangements and cooking with Indian spices. The Gazebo will contain a Family Global Story Circle.

Eligible booths are those that represent world cultures in art/crafts, artisan foods, or a nonprofit group. See the categories and costs on the next page. All artists must supply their own tents if needed, booth structures, as well as display boards, tables and chairs. Surface is grass. Stakes are allowed in grass but you cannot drive your vehicle on it.
