Not Your Ordinary Run
Dear NYOS Parents,
Mark your calendars for the Not Your Ordinary Run, NYOS’s fourth annual 5k and kids k. This year’s run will take place on April 8, 2017, returning to Pfluger Park in Pflugerville!
The Not Your Ordinary Run is a great way to promote health & wellness in our community while simultaneously raising funds for all of our PTA sponsored programs! The money earned will support the proposals chosen by YOU at the August 2016 PTA meeting.
Student registration for the Not Your Ordinary Run may be earned for FREE! All students will have the opportunity to create a fundraising page on the event site. Every student who raises $20 receives a free t-shirt and the opportunity to run/walk a 1K or 5K.

How do I earn free registration for my student?
Go to and click Become a Fundraiser to set up your student’s fundraising page. Share the page with family and friends and raise at least $20. A unique coupon code will be emailed to you and you MUST then register your student. Go to and click Register. Don’t forget to register your family too!
What if I earn more than $20?
Please do! Remember this is a fundraiser for our school so every penny helps! We are working to secure prizes for top fundraisers. Stay tuned for more details!
If I pay to register, can I still set up a fundraiser?
Of course! All fundraisers will be eligible for prizes. You can even set up a team and work together with friends, family, or classmates!
My student is young. May I walk/run the 1K with my student but not register for the 5K?
Yes! We want everyone to participate. Please note that parents and community members who plan to run the 5K or would like a t-shirt must register online at
Will there be finisher prizes?
All participants will receive a finisher medal. ALL participants in the 5kwill be chip-timedthis year, and age group medals will be awarded to the top finisher in each group.
How can I save money on registration?
Register early! Discounted prices are available for early registration through February 28, so spread the word and sign up now!
What if I don’t like to run?
Come and enjoy the morning with us! Play at the park, visit the sponsor and vendor booths, and enjoy a morning with our extraordinary community!
