/ Evidence of a range of essential communication skills.
Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of the grant funding process.
A full clean driving licence and use of a car for business purposes.
Desirable experience skills and aptitudes:
Demonstrate experience of formal project planning, financial reporting, management and delivery including: needs assessment, priority setting, action planning and securing funding.
Experience of planning and organising community events and activities that are designed to improve the quality of life of communities and that utilise community development strategies.
Evidence of a range of essential communication skills e.g. presentations, public meetings, group facilitation and group based training.
Evidence of regular and in-depth continued use of computers with daily experience of using the internet and email systems in addition to Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Powerpoint.
The ability to work on their own initiative and to work unsupervised to achieve the aims, objectives of a work plan.
A flexible approach to work and a willingness to work unsociable hours as the job requires.
Job Duties:
/ This post is designed to assist the Project Board to develop and deliver the new Rathlin Manor House, this will involve a range of key tasks including providing administrative support to meet the requirements of Coastal Communities Fund; liaison with the design team and contractor; providing a communication link between the Project Board and the Rathlin community.
Ensure that activities are monitored and evaluated and that the needs and priorities of local communities are reflected in the plans and priorities of the Project Board.
Establish and develop close working relationships with the community and facilitate their full and active participation in the regeneration of the Manor House.
Act as secretariat to the Manor House Project Board.
Assist with the development of a marketing plan that will bring forward the successful implementation of the project and continued delivery.
Identify and secure sources of funding that will contribute to the success of the Manor House Project.
Liaise directly with the Project’s Architecture and Building Contract Team.
Liaise directly with the General Manager for the new Manor House Guest Inn.
Maintain good communication links and facilitate networking between groups and individuals.
Prepare and maintain reports and other documentation that may be required.
Co-ordinate and facilitate the development and implementation of appropriate and effective monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to assess the progress of the Manor House Project in meeting agreed targets and priorities.
Participate in the provision of any training and development programmes designed to further the aims and objectives of the project.
Attend meetings and conferences relevant to this project as requested by management and effectively relay back to the Project Board.
Undertake any project relevant activities, duties and contacts as directed by management.
Some evening or weekend work may be required.
