Action A.2. Make sure that MS IE is used only allowing running JavaScript!
Action B
To make MS IE compatible with eudravigilance EVWEB, EVPRD applications.
If your MS IE is not IE8, but IE9 or IE10 or IE11, it should be set being compatible with eudravigilance site as follows:
Tools menu > compatibility view settings "europa.eu" in the list of sites.
Note: Setting of this kind of compatibility gives an application access to the same as in MS IE8 resources without compromising the advantage of using IE later versions.
Action C
If the error “Unable to launch application” arises or a navigation across the page is not functioning, please contact your local IT support department which should be able to resolve the problem.
This means that TreeView, which is activated by an installation of supplied to you ActiveX, is not active.
Provided that ActiveX was activated properly, another cause of this problem, most probably, is related to the Microsoft Security Update that affects mscomctl.ocx on the user's computer causing ActiveX controls fails to load.
To fix this issue, please contact your local IT support department to implement the following solution.
From the command line that is running as Administrator (otherwise the action does not take effect):
1. Unregister OCX
regsvr32 /u C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX
2. Reregister OCX
regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSCOMCTL.OCX
If 32 bit OS is installed on your computer, the path to OCX is C:\Windows\System32\MSCOMCTL.OCX”.
Action D
Reset running MS IE. From the menu bar: Tools - Internet Options - Tab Advanced - button Reset.
Provided that all actions mentioned above are implemented, an EVWEB application should be loaded into MS IE running on your computer.
