The Victor and Anna Mae Wancheck Beghini Scholarship(paid at beginning of second year; renewable by application for third and fourth years of college/university.)
Eligibility criteria:
Be a graduating male or female student at Mapletown High School
Planning to attend a 4-year accredited post-secondary college or university
Planning to pursue a major in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) disciplines
Have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
Have a financial need
Application Requirements (in addition to the minimum required documents):
ESSAY - Complete a short personal statement/essay (not to exceed 1 page) describing your passion and interest for STEM in terms of past and current experience and future goals for a STEM related career.
Army Specialist Gregory A. Cox Scholarship
Eligibility criteria:
Be a Greene County resident, male or female who is a graduating high school senior (public, private, homeschool)
Planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year accredited post-secondary school (college/university/technical, etc.)
Planning to pursue a major leading to work in public safety or public service (not politics)
AND/OR planning to participate in ROTC (preference)
Have a financial need
Application Requirements(in addition to the minimum required documents):
ESSAY - One-page, typed; explaining why the applicant plans to enter a public safety/public service career (specify major) or ROTC (specify branch, school and ROTC enrollment date)
3 Letters of Recommendation (2 high school professional staff, 1 other not related and not academic.)
Rocky Doman Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility criteria:
Be a Greene County resident, male or female who is a graduating public high school senior)
Planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year accredited post-secondary school (college/university/technical, etc.)
Be a stand-out athlete, and
Demonstrate ability as a team player with a humble spirit
Application Requirements(in addition to the minimum required documents):
List of High School sports played by year, and any awards/honors/recognition received in each sport.
2 Letters of Recommendation (1 from a school coach; 1 non-coaching academic teacher) that describe how they see the student's ability as a team player and evidence of a humble spirit. Rocky Doman Letter of Recommendation template is attached on page 7 of this form
Dove Award Scholarship
Eligibility criteria:
Be a graduating senior student at Jefferson-Morgan High School
Planning to attend a 4-year accredited college or university
Preference for a female student
Preference for students with a financial need
Application Requirements(in addition to the minimum required documents):
ESSAY (in letter form) describing involvement in community service/citizenship; extracurricular activities, volunteer work, number in family and annual family taxable income.

Jesse Benson Finnegan Scholarship
Eligibility criteria:
Be a senior student in good standing, graduating from the Greene County Career & Technology Center
Planning to attend an accredited college/university, business, trade or technical school
Preference for a student completing the Electrical Occupations course at GCCTC with other coursesconsidered
Have a financial need

1 Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, coach, employer, etc. (may not be a relative)
Russell A. Guthrie Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility criteria:
Be a graduating male or female senior student in good standing at Jefferson-Morgan High School
Planning to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited college, university, business, trade or technical school
Have minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0
Application Requirements(in addition to the minimum required documents):
ESSAY (in letter form) describing involvement in community service/citizenship; extracurricular activities, volunteer work, number in family and annual family taxable income

Must participate in a 10-15 minute interview on Saturday, April 29th (morning/possibly early afternoon)
Renardo A. Matteucci Family Scholarship
Eligibility criteria:
Be a graduating senior male or female student at Jefferson-Morgan High School
Planning to pursue a Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree, or Diploma/Certificate from an accredited college, university,business, trade or technical school
Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75
Have a level of financial need

ESSAY (in letter form) describing involvement in community service/citizenship; extracurricular activities, volunteer work, number in family and annual family taxable income

Darlene Phillips Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility criteria:
Be a graduating senior male or female student at Mapletown High School
Planning to attend a 4-year accredited college or university
Have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0
Have a strong attendance record with no compulsory attendance violations
Have participated in extra-curricular activities
Have a financial need
Preference for a student planning to major in elementary education
Application Requirements(in addition to the minimum required documents):
1 Letter of Recommendation from a teacher, administrator, or extra-curricular sponsor

William H. Davis, Jr. Scholarship - (renewable by application)Rolling deadlines: due1st of February, April, June, August, October or December.
Eligibility criteria:
Be a Greene County resident who is graduating, or has graduated, from high school.
Must have applied and/or be an accepted student at Westmoreland County Community College (any campus) as a full time student, registered for a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours.
Must apply for Financial Aid prior to eligibility for scholarship award, and must qualify for no more than three-quarters (3/4) financial aid to be eligible for scholarship.
Preference for students with a financial need.

Rocky Doman Memorial Scholarship Fund
Letter of Recommendation Information

Dear Teacher or Coach,
(student) has asked you to write a letter of recommendation for his/her application for the Rocky Doman Memorial Scholarship Award, a $1,000 scholarship to the post-secondary school of his/her choosing..
The Rocky Doman Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in honor of Rock A. Doman who was a 2000 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School where he excelled as an athlete in several sports.. He was awarded all county, and all conference during his three years on the varsity football team as a running back and was selected to the WPIAL 4000 Yard Club for rushing. More than just an athlete, Rock was a very giving and humble person, often helpingother students who were training for their sport, giving advice or pointers on how to be a better athlete, and setting a good example. His goal was always to help the team excel, even at the expense of personal achievement. Rock also made time to give back to his community as a good neighbor, coaching children, or stopping by to visit an elderly neighbor just to say hi and provide a little company.
The scholarship is open to any Greene County male or female graduating senior attending one of the high schools in Greene County who is planning to planning to pursue degree at an accredited two-year or four-year institution; is a standout student athlete playing any sport; and demonstrates ability as a team player with a humble spirit. This last criterion is the most important.
As you prepare a letter of recommendation for this student, please know that it would be helpful if you can describe how you see the student’s ability as a team player and evidence of a humble spirit in your encounters with the student.
