Sub: SMS and Email Notification by BSE

BSE has commenced the service of sending trade alert SMS to all investors with effect from October 12, 2012 as per the details of the investor available in the UCC (Unique Client Code) database.

According to BSE Notice no. 20120928-25 (appended herewith), dated September 28th, 2012,we hereby request you to kindly provide us mobile number and email addresses of your respective clientele in order for them to avail the SMS and Email Notification by BSE.

Request you to kindly provide us the relevant information within 10 days in order for us to upload it in the UCC Database of the Exchange.

Subject: SMS and E-mail alerts to investors by stock exchanges

SEBI had issued circular no. CIR/MIRSD/15/2011 dated August 02, 2011 regarding SMS and email alerts to investors by Stock Exchanges. Accordingly, BSE had issued notice no. 20111118- 19 on November 18,2011 and commenced sending SMS alerts from November 28, 2011 and Email alerts from December 2,2011.

Now, SEBl had directed the Exchange to send trade alerts through SMSI Email at the end of the day to all investors based on the client details uploaded by the Stock Brokers on the Stock Exchange System.

Accordingly, BSE shall commence sending trade alerts through SMS & Email in new format shortly. In view of the above, all Trading Members are requested to upload the mobile numbers and email IDS of their clients in the UCC database of the Exchange, immediately. Please note that Exchange shall send Trade Alerts through SMS & Email on mobile numbers and email IDS of the clients uploaded by the trading members in the UCC database of the Exchange. Further, trading members receiving requests from their clients for any updation in their details w.r.t. mobile number and email id, the trading member shall update the said information immediately in the UCC database. Trading Members are further requested to ensure that correct data has been entered in the UCC database.
