Ideas for Improving Your Understanding
Part 1: Criterion A: Comprehending spoken and visual text (Listening to native speakers)
Strategies: / Ways to prove you used the strategy:1)Learn the food and drink vocabulary for this unit. Most of what each speaker said in their audios were words we were told to learn. Use the Quizlet: Food & Drink Vocab. set under “Antes del dia #1” and “Dia #3”. Use cards and then do other activities. / Screenshot your scores on the activities that show you have a 95%+ understanding of the vocabulary.
2)Go to the bottom of the Unidad 4 page and listen to the audios of the native speakers from the test. Write down more words as you hear them to make corrections. Write down Spanish words you still can’t figure out and try to look them up. Come in to show Sra. Moore your corrections and do some more practice. / Attach your corrections and notes and get a signature from Sra. Moore on this sheet.
3)In the same place, listen to the new audios and write down everything you can understand. Work alone or with a friend. / Attach your notes.
Part 2: Criterion B: Comprehending written and visual text (Reading comprehension skills)
Strategies: / Ways to prove you used the strategy:1)Read the passage again. Highlight any words and phrases that you do not understand. Look up each word and write down their meanings in English and Spanish. Read through again with the new knowledge. / Attach your notes with the English and the Spanish translations.
2)Use the feedback from Sra. Moore to make corrections. Write new and improved answers to all of the questions that Sra. Moore said were either wrong or just not as complete as they could be. / Attach your new and improved answers.
3)Come in and work with Sra. Moore. Bring your test and your corrections to see if you’re right! / Get Sra. Moore’s signature on this sheet to prove you worked with her in a tutoring session.

You need to do this as many times as it takes until you get them all right without using resources. / Screenshot your scores at the end or get a parent to sign your sheet stating they saw you do this.
3)Do the “Interactive Practice”. / Screenshot your scores at the end or get a parent to sign your sheet stating they saw you do this.
4)Make corrections to your original test and come in to show Sra. Moore to see if you’re right. Then practice a little more with her. / Attach your test with the corrections on it. Get Sra. Moore’s signature on this sheet.
Part 4: Criterion D: Using language in written form (Conjugating regular verbs in the present tense)
Strategies: / Ways to prove you used the strategy:1)Go to Dia #2 Study Materials section. Watch all of the videos on verb conjugation. / Scout’s honor. Just do it and make sure you understand it. If you don’t, come in for tutoring.
2)Use the “Conjuguemos Practice.” Make sure to customize and select “ALL BUT vosotros.” Do this a lot and until you get 95%+ / Screenshot your scores or get a parent to sign your sheet saying they saw you do this.
3)Play “Conjuguemos: Battleship” using all forms of the verbs. / Screenshot your scores or get a parent to sign your sheet saying they saw you do this.
