Creating Your Applicant Portal Account

When you first access the Applicant Portal, you will be asked to create a web account. You must have a valid email address to complete this step. When you supply your information, username, and password, a web account is created that will give you access to the Applicant Portal application form.

Once you have created your username and password, keep them in a safe place for future reference. NAU also does not recommend sharing your username and password with others.

To create a web account for the Applicant Portal:

1.  From the Launch Campus Portals page at https://mycampus.national.edu/ click Applicant Portal Homepage. When the page opens, find the frame that has the CREATE ACCOUNT button in it.

2.  Click CREATE ACCOUNT to open the page where you supply your account information. The following form is displayed. Be sure to choose the campus that you plan to attend when selecting a campus.

3.  Fill in the fields (all fields marked with an asterisk are required to complete the form) with your information and check to see that it is accurate.

4.  When you are finished, click CONTINUE. Your username will be listed, and you will be requested to create a password following the criteria listed below. Once you enter your password, click CREATE ACCOUNT. Remember to keep your username and password for future reference.

The password is at least six characters long.

The password must contain characters from at least three of the following four categories:

·  English uppercase characters (A - Z)

·  English lowercase characters (a - z)

·  Base 10 digits (0 – 9)

·  Non-alphanumeric (for example:!, $, #, or %)

The password cannot contain three or more characters from the user’s account name.

5.  Step 1 of the Online Application process will open once you create your account. There are eight steps, and you must complete all of them to finish your application. If you cannot finish the application during this session, the program will save your information and will start at the step where you left off when you log in again. An indicator of your progress showing the current step number is displayed at the top of the form.
