Creating a Basic Keynote Presentation

and select Outline. Don’t worry. You will be changing your view often when you are putting your presentation together.
6. Creating your first slide. In the Outline column, click on the right side of the slide thumbnail with the #1 next to it. Type in the title of your slide.
a. On the slide canvas, click inside the lower box “Double-Click to edit” and type in “By” and your full name. Your Outline column should look like this. Except with your own title and your name. Duh!
7. Adding more slides. Click on New. From the masters list, choose another preset slide by clicking on the master slide icon (see step #4).
8. The Inspector. The inspector is a very important set of tools that you will use to format (organize), stylize, and animate your presentation. Click on the Inspector icon to leave it open. To switch between inspectors, just click on the appropriate button in the top bar of the inspector window.

10. Moving text boxes. If you click on a text box, you can drag it anywhere in your canvas. There are yellow lines that pop up that help you align (line up) the text so that it’s perfectly centered. Try moving your title box around!
