Day 1:

Objective: Students will numbers in Spanish.

Standard &

Benchmark: 28.A.1a, 28.B.1b, 28.D.2b

Procedure:Students in Zitkus’class will review days of the week, months of the year, and the numbers. Teacher will discuss the pattern which will help them put the larger numbers together. We will also practice counting by different multiples.Schaefer’s, Stokoski’s, and Pelkowski’s class will review the numbers in Spanish. They will also practice counting by different multiples-2’s, 3’s, 5’s, 10’s, & 11’s.

Day 2:

Objective: Students willeither learn the days of the week and months of the year in Spanish or create a calendar of their birthday month.

Procedure: Students in Zitkus’ class will create a calendar using their birthday month. Students will have to set up the calendar correctly, put in any holidays that fall in that month, and label their birthday all in Spanish. Students in Schaefer’s, Stokoski’s, and Pelkowski’s class will write notes on days of the week and months of the year in Spanish. Students will practice pronouncing the vocabulary.

Day 3:

Objective:Students will create a calendar of their birthday month or watch a video to practice vocabulary.

Procedure:Students in Zitkus’ class will watch an interactive video to practice vocabulary. Teacher will assist with the video. Students in Schaefer’s Stokoski’s, and Pelkowski’s class will create a calendar using their birthday month. 6th Grade Spanish

Day 1:

Objective:Students will either create a floor plan using vocabulary from notes or will learn Spanish names for sports.

Procedure:Students in Krueger’s will complete the floor plan assignment from last week. On this project, students will create a floor plan of a home. There are 7 rooms to include: bedroom, family/living room, kitchen, bathroom, dining room, laundry room, and garage. They are also to draw in furniture and appliances that would be found in each room. They have several vocabulary terms to choose.

Students in Johnson’s, Nance’s, and Driscoll’s class will be introduced to Spanish names for different sports in Spanish. They will be asked to listen to vocabulary, and repeat the vocabulary in Spanish.

Day 2:

Objective:Students will learn how to say “I like …” and “I don’t like …” in Spanish or will learn Spanish names for sports

Procedure:Students in Driscoll’s,Johnson’s and Nance’s class will learn that “Me gusta …” means “I like …” and “No me gusta …” means “I don’t like …”. Students will create a small poster of sports that they like and don’t like. They will also have to color their project with colored pencils or crayons.

Students in Krueger’s class will be introduced to Spanish names for sports. Students will take notes, listen to vocabulary, and repeat the vocabulary in Spanish.

Day 3:

Objective:Students will either share the sports that they like and don’t like or create the poster.
