Call for Proposals:
Speakers/Presentations for
WHA Educational Offerings in 2013
Please submit a separate proposal, including all of the following requested information in the order/format listed, for EACH presentation you would like considered.
Session Information:
1. Presentation Title: The title should clearly reflect the topic or content area.
2. Content: Clearly and concisely describe in one paragraph the content of the presentation.
· If the proposal is accepted, this paragraph will be used in the Conference Brochure to describe your session to potential attendees.
· If you wish, you may also attach an additional sheet with a more detailed description of the session for purposes of review of your proposal.
3. Learning Objectives: Please list three (3) learning objectives for your session.
HINT: Write them to complete the following sentence:
“At the end of this session, the participant will be able to…”
Think in terms of verbs that are observable and measurable (understand, compare, learn, define, enhance, assess, etc.).
4. Focus of Presentation: Select up to two of the following and indicate priority preference:
a. Breakout session for WHA Rural Health Conference (60 minutes of education)
b. Webinar session (60 minutes of education)
c. Full one-day, stand alone seminar (6 hours of education)
d. Half-day stand alone seminar (3 hours of education)

WHA Leadership Summit: No proposals being accepted for 2013 Leadership Summit
(formerly WHA Annual Convention)
Webinar: No specific due date; however, need minimum of 8 weeks to
effectively promote the event
Half-day or full-day sessions: No specific due date; however, need minimum of
10 weeks to effectively promote the event
Please note:
By submitting a proposal, you are agreeing to waive your right to be reimbursed by WHA for any speaker fees and for any speaker travel expenses that may be incurred and normally collected by your organization, in the process of presenting the proposed educational program. WHA does not guarantee that this or any other submitted presentation proposals will be selected as part of any education agenda during 2012.
