An Act to make Provision with respect to Applications under Division Six of Part IV of the Transfer of Land Act 1958 and Matters arising out of those Applications, and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Victoria in this present Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows (that is to say):
1Short title
(1)This Act may be cited as the Cul-de-sacApplications Act 1965.
2Definition
In this Act unless inconsistent with the context or subject-matter—
Registrar means the Registrar of Titles under the Transfer of Land Act 1958 and includes any Assistant Registrar of Titles.
3Applications may be dealt with despite repeal of Division
The provisions of Division 6 of Part IV of the Transfer of Land Act 1958 shall on and after the 1st day of January 1966 continue to apply to applications made under that Division before that day as if the said Division had not been repealed as from that day by the Local Government (Amendment) Act 1965.
4Moneys may be received from Assurance Fund despite repeal ofDivision
s. 4
Where an application under the said Division is granted either before or after the repeal of the said Division and compensation moneys are paid in respect of the application into the Assurance Fund maintained under the Transfer of Land Act 1958, the provisions of the said Division shall after the repeal of the said Division have the same operation and effect in relation to any claim arising out of the payment into the Assurance Fund as they would have had the said Division not been repealed.
