NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Peru Utilities will receive sealed bids at Peru Utilities Business Office at 335 East Canal Street, Peru, Indiana, 46970 until the hour of 1:00 pm on September 2, 2016, for the following:
Fremont Street
Sewer Lining Project
Phase I and II
Work to be performed shall include furnishing all labor, services, materials, insurance, equipment, meet safety requirements, install liners in existing sanitary and combined sewers by trenchless methods using cured-in-placed pipe, determine sewer flows and bypass pumping required, clean the sewer, divert sewer flow (if required), pre insertion internal CCTV inspection, spot repairs as required, public notification, install the liner, reinstate internal laterals/service connections, post insertion CCTV inspection, and traffic control. The areas are in the city streets and alleys through residential and business areas. Only cured-in-place pipe method will be considered for the lining system. The work will also include protection and restoration of all pavements, lawns, or other facilities disturbed by the work, and other appurtenant work, all more particularly described in the materials and installation specifications. These lines have not been cleaned or televised prior to the bidding process.
Phase I of the work will consist of lining an estimated 1234 lineal feet of twenty inch diameter vitrified segmental block sewer line. Work on this phase must commence before December 31, 2016.
Phase II of the work will consist of lining an estimated 1248 lineal feet of twenty inch diameter vitrified segmental block sewer line. Both phases are to be completed by April 30, 2016.
The above bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope on Form 96 as prescribed by the Indiana State Board of Accounts, with non-collusion affidavit completed, and must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid.
The Contract Documents are on file and available for public inspection, commencing on August 16, 2016 during regular work hours at Peru Utilities, Division of Water Management, 221 West Riverside Drive, Peru, Indiana, 46970.
