For the purposes of this scenario, our classroom is an office in the accounting firm of Millwood, Pendragon, and Mordred. It is located at 451 Broadway, Fitz-MacDuncan, Ca.

You are an investigator assigned to this homicide. The cardboard figure is the deceased. He is male, white, 50 years old. He has gray hair, brown eyes, a pale complexion and is approximately 6' tall andweighs 250 pounds. His buildis muscular, not fat. It appears as if he was physically fit. He is wearing a gray suit, white shirt, blue tie, and highly polished black leather shoes. The coroner will tell you later that his wallet, credit cards and $200 were all accounted for. According to his driver’s license, his name is Jason Tassi Millwood of 757 Bryant St., Fitz-MacDuncan, Ca.

There is a plain gold wedding band on his right ring finger. There is a Saint Michael's medallion on a silver chain around his throat. There is a single wound on his right temple, a possible gunshot wound. There is ablack ring around the hole. The diameter of the hole is about 9mm.

There is no exit wound.

The subject is laying on his stomach. His hands are bound behind his back. The rope is white, 3/8” thick made of polyester. His legs are also bound with the same type of rope. Under his head, acting like a pillow is a torn photograph of the victim.

Mr. Millwood’s body was discovered by Ms. Persimmons French who is an accountant with the firm of Millwood, Pendragon, and Mordred. She states, “I opened the office at 7:30 A.M. I’m the senior accountant, so I am usually the first one here each day. When I walked into the room, I saw Mr. Millwood laying on the floor not moving. He looked dead to me, so I backed out of the room and called the police.”

The stock is from the Acme Gold Miningand Swimming Pool Company.Mr. Barcley French, the vice president of Huey, Dewey and Louie Ltd, is the person who found the body. He said that he left the office, secured, yesterday at 7:00 P.M. He returned this morning to find the front door unlocked, the lights on, the alarm turned off, and the body laying on the floor. He identified the body as that of GrigoriJ. Rasputin, a lawyer with the firm of Rasputin, Rasputin, and Nicholas. Their firm is not in this building. In fact, it is on the other side of town. The lawfirm ofRasputin, Rasputin and Nicholas handles the legal affairs of Huey, Dewey and Louie Ltd., but they do not have keys to the office, nor do they know the alarm codes.

The students now have 15 minutes to examine the classroom for clues, make observations andtake notes.
