A monthly publication of the recent activities and
upcoming events of the Mount Diablo Metal Detecting Club
The March, 2015 MDMDC monthly club meeting had a total of 34 attendees.
The attendance ticket winners were Cecil Gertz and Gary Collier. Cecil Gertz won the Silver Dime Raffle.
The raffle prizes were provided by James Lind. They included a 2 ½ dollar gold coin, six silver dollars, silver rounds, half dollars, and other silver coins.
Mini-hunt report: Gary Collier reported that 20 people attended the February Mini Hunt. It was a great hunt and many wild finds were found as well as Gary’s tokens.
Rich Davidson will hold the next hunt on March 29th at Arbolodo Park in Walnut Creek. It is near Boundary Oaks Golf Course. It will begin at 10 a.m. and the entry fee is $10. No digging but big feet are allowed.
New officers were elected at the meeting. They are: President – Bobby Whitworth, Secretary – James Lind, Treasurer – James Stockton, Vice President – Darrell Handy, Hunt Chairman – Gary Collier, and Newsletter/Website Manager – Ken Housfeld
Show and Tell participants included Christian Yorubus, Gary Collier, Alice Rosenthal, Chuck Ferguson, Mike Walding, Zeke Schnapp, and Jerry Hallett.
The Mount Diablo Metal Detecting Club’s first dedication is to treasure hunting in all its forms and to use and enforce the treasurer’s Code of Ethics. The second dedication is accomplished through the use of our trained Community Assistance Team and our support of the blind camp.

New Meeting Location
Starting in 2015, we will be holding our monthly meeting on a new day and at a new location.
We will be meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at the Elk’s Lodge in Walnut Creek at 7:30 p.m.
