on 4 mats
Second Session - 2:30pm -4:00pm 1st/2nd Place - 3rd /4th Place - 5th /6th Place on 3 mats
G. WEIGH-INS & Skin Check
1. Saturday, February 12th 8:00 am
2. Athletes will need photo ID and weigh-in cards to weigh-in. This will prepare
the athlete for the State tournament procedures. Weigh-in cards will be given
at the weigh-ins each day.
H. ADMISSION:
1. Adult $ 8.00
Student/Child/Sr. Citizen $ 6.00
2. Mat Classic (State Tournament) All Tournament Tickets will be available on a pre-sale basis and will be sold on Saturday afternoon. Ticket prices will be:
All Tournament Adult $16.00
Student $10.00
Single Session and All Day Tickets can be purchased at the Tacoma Dome.
3. Acceptable passes: Press Pass, WSCA Pass w/ID, and WIAA Lifetime Pass
** NO OTHER PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED**
4. Schools will forward the attached pass list to the tournament manager no later than WEDNESDAY, FEB. 9th.

5. Cheerleaders in uniform will be admitted free. Each school will be limited to a maximum of four at mat side. Their names should appear on the attached pass gate list.
6. News media and photographers - only those approved by the tournament manager will be allowed in the mat area.
I. AWARDS
1. Medals will be awarded to the first FIVE place finishers in each weight class.
2. Individual awards will be presented during the championship session. Team scores will be kept and a First Place Team trophy will be presented at the conclusion on the tournament.
J. STATE QUALIFIERS
1. The first Four place finishers in each weight division will qualify for the State Wrestling Tournament to be held in the Tacoma Dome February 18th and 19th.
The top four placers will have their picture taken in SCHOOL WARMUPS after
The finals for the state program.
2. The 5th place finisher will become the alternate at the State Tournament. The alternate will be used in the event of a scratch by a higher placer.
K. OFFICIALS
To be determined by WIAA at a later date.
L. DISPUTES
1. Any disputes occurring at the tournament will be presented to the Tournament Manager and he will confer with the Tournament Committee present. Their decision will be final.
2. The WIAA expulsion rule (23.32-Conduct eligibility rules and penalties) will be followed.
M. General Information
1. DRESSING ROOMS
Be sure: Wrestlers deposit all debris in trash cans.
P. E. Baskets are not disturbed.
Bulletin boards are left untouched.
Coaches should discuss proper care of locker room area.
2. Each school must furnish their own towels. Cavelero Mid High School will not furnish towels.
3. FLOOR RESTRICTIONS
a. No one will be permitted to stand along the mats, including coaches,
wrestlers, and spectators.
b. The limit is two coaches per mat.
4. PARKING FACILITIES
Parking is available north of the stadium and on-street parking.
5. SIGNS
No signs except official school banners allowed.
6. BANDS AND NOISEMAKERS
No bands and noisemakers will be allowed.
N. SPECIAL INTRODUCTION BEFORE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND
This procedure will be reviewed at the coaches' meeting February 12th. The championships will be held on three mats starting as close to 4:30 pm as possible.
O. TEAM SCORING
1. All tournament scoring will be as stated in the National Federation Rule Book
(Rule 9, Section 2)
TEAM PLACEMENT
First Place - 16 points Fourth Place - 7 points
Second Place - 12 points Fifth Place - 5 points
Third Place - 9 points Sixth Place - 3 points
2. TOURNAMENT SCORING
Individual placement points shall be awarded as soon as earned. Placement points already earned will be deducted in case of forfeit (other than injury) or disqualification from the tournament. Points for team scoring shall be awarded as follows:
a. (2) team advancement points shall be scored for each match won in the championship bracket, except for the final first place match. If a wrestler receives a bye in the first round, he shall be awarded 2 advancement points for that round if he wins his next match. No points are awarded for the bye if the wrestler loses his next match.
b. (1) team advancement point shall be scored for each match won in the consolation round, except for the final third and fifth place matches. A wrestler who has a bye in the consolations round shall receive one advancement point, provided he wins the next round match.
3. POINTS FOR DEFAULT, DISQUALIFICATION, FALL, OR FORFEIT
a. Two additional points will be scored for each match won by default, disqualification, fall, or forfeit throughout the tournament.
b. One and one-half points will be awarded for each match won by a technical fall.
c. One point will be awarded for each match won by a major decision.
4. OTHER SCORING
In tournament scoring six places, the winner of each championship quarterfinals shall be awarded three points, and the winner of each championship final shall be awarded for additional place points. The winner of the quarterfinal consolation match shall receive three additional place points. The winner of the third place and the winner of the fifth place shall receive two additional place points.
P. WITHDRAWAL OF QUALIFIERS
Any school who intends to withdraw a qualified participant should contact the tournament manager at (425) 335-1527 or cel (425)-343-6938 as soon as possible. This will allow time to contact the alternates.
