Approval of minutes from September 4, 2014 meetings Jodi Thornley, Chair

Minutes were previously sent to Council members and included in the

Council packet and can be viewed at www.nevadaddcouncil.org For Possible Action

Executive Committee Recommendations and Chairperson’s Summary Jodi Thornley, Chair

Jodi Thornley, Council Chair and Executive Committee Chair; will give a summary on

activities and events participated in, on behalf of the Council. Council Administration

and Processes may be discussed in this summary.

Update on Taskforce for Integrated Employment Sherry Manning

Sherry Manning, NGCDD Executive Director; will give an update on the progress and

Appointments for the Governor’s Executive Order establishing a Taskforce for Integrated

Employment.

Presentation and Possible Commitment from NGCDD on “Six by Fifteen” Robin Renshaw

Robin Renshaw, NGCDD Member; will present information that 2015 will mark 40 years of

IDEA and 25 years of ADA and the new initiative “Six by Fifteen” to honor the legacy of

the past and help build a new future. The six main goals are: employment, community

living, education, transition, healthy living, and early childhood.

Action taken by the NGCDD may be:

1)  Making a commitment to join the effort to achieve six national goals by the end of 2015

2)  Approval to take no action at this time

The NGCDD Budget: For Possible Action Robbin Vasquez

Robbin Vasquez, Budget Committee Chair and Sherry Manning, Executive Director, will Committee Chair

present the current budget for State Year (SFY) 2015 and Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2013

& 2014 obligations and liquidations.

Action taken by the NGCDD may be:

1)  Approval of the Budget as Presented

2)  Request for additional information to be brought back to the NGCDD

3)  Approval to take no action at this time

Project Status Summary Kari Horn

A written summary of projects/activities during the fourth quarter 2014 and project highlights

in the first quarter of FFY2015 will be sent to Council members prior to the Council meeting

and included in the Council packets. Kari Horn, NGCDD Projects Manager; will present and

respond to questions.

NGCDD Evaluation Committee Filiberto Ontiveros

Filiberto Ontiveros, Evaluation Committee Chair; will present information from Committee Chair

the November 14, 2014 Evaluation Committee Meeting.

The NGCDD Legislative Committee: Renee Portnell

Renee Portnell, Legislative Committee Chair, will present information Committee Chair from the November 5, 2014 Legislative Committee meeting.

Partners Summary Jack Mayes, NDALC Nevada Disability Advocacy and Law Center and the Steve Rock, NCED

University Center for Excellence in Disabilities will update

the Council on relevant activities of the Administration on Intellectual/Developmental

Disabilities (AIDD) Partner agencies. (Presentation and discussion limited to 20 minutes)

Director’s Summary Sherry Manning

The Director’s written summary of activities during the quarter

will be sent to Council members prior to the Council meeting and

included in the Council packets. The Executive Director will present

the summary and respond to questions.

NGCDD Next Quarterly Meeting is scheduled for March 4th & 5th, 2015

Face-to-Face two day annual training/meeting in Reno
