TOUCH WOOD

Caring for your Wood Ring

Your wood ring has been created for you with great care and attention to detail. If you treat it kindly it will give you many years of wear.

  • Please be extra careful with your wood ring for the first while ... it is ‘brand new’ and has just changed climates from our place to yours. It will continue to cure and harden over the next months.
  • We recommend that you remove your ring for showering, bathing, swimming or dishwashing.
  • Avoid sprays, cleaners and harsh substances like isopropyl alcohol or mosquito repellent.
  • Do not wear your ring in rubber gloves or in conditions where it is subjected to constant moisture.
  • Feel free to leave your ring on for quick hand washes – the finish is tough. Your ring will not be harmed by normal wear.
  • Shouldthe finish on your ringget damaged, we will repairit for a small feeor, without charge if we deem it to be our problem. The finish we apply protects the ring from ultraviolet light and rapid changes in temperature. This being said, do not leave your ring on a car dash or windowsill or anywhere it will be subject to temperature extremes.
  • There is a lifetime guarantee on the structural integrity of yourring. This warranty clause guarantees that your ring will not delaminate* or we will replace it free of charge.(Delaminate means ‘to separate into thin layers’.)
  • Should your ring break within two years of receipt due to accident or misuse, we will repair or replace it for one half of its normal purchase price. Things that will break your ring would bend a metal ring tight on your finger. Keep your hand out of tight spaces . . . do not use your ring as a landing place for heavy objects. Should this happen by accident, your ring will oval outwards, safely away from your finger.
  • Treat your ring like you would a fine wood box or a nice table . . . you can polish the ring with a good furniture polish should it become scratched or dull.
  • DO rub your ring, handle it – it likes to be touched and hand polished.

We have enjoyed creating your ring and stand behind it’s quality. We hope you enjoy wearing the warmth of wood for many years to come.

With warmest regards
