This collection consists of microfilm reproductions of the Schoolcraft papers maintained by the Library of Congress. The papers span the years 1788 – 1906, with the bulk of the material dated between 1820 and 1856. The collection documents Schoolcraft’s career an explorer and Indian agent in the Upper Great Lakes region.
