Documents required for STUDY
Visa to be requested only upon confirmation of having been admitted to the school in Italy
- Visa application form.
- One recent passport-style photo.
- Passport or travel document valid for at least three months after visa expiry date (Please note: thepassport should have at least 2 blank pages for visa and stamps of custom authorities).
- Proof of residence in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Yukon (e.g. driver’s license).
- Permanent Resident Card or Canadian VISA (Please note: your Canadian Visa must be valid for 60 days past your intended stay in Italy).
- Return-trip booking or ticket.
- Proof of enrolment or pre-enrolment in course of study, indicating number of hour’sdaily study and duration of course.
- Documentation of educational history in applicant’s country of origin.
- Proof of economic means of support in Italy. This availability can be proven throughproof of personal or family resources (last 3 months bank statements). Please note that the name of the current account holder must be clearly visible on the bank statements. If the applicant needs financial support from his/her parents, he/she must provide a letter of support for study, to be signed in front of the consular officer or a notary public, together with a copy of a picture ID and the last three months` bank statements of the his/her parents.
- Declaration of the availability of appropriate lodgings in Italy: a purchase/rental contract or a letter of invitationfrom the school, a relative or a friend who is a permanent resident in Italy. The letter of invitation has to be emailed or faxed from Italy to the Consulate General by the person inviting, together with a copy of his/her picture ID.
- Health insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 for emergency hospital and repatriation expenses. Proof of coverage must include a statement with your name, the period and amount of coverage, and the conditions of the contract. An optional supporting form can be completed by the insurance company.
Please note: in case of minors, the application form must be signed by both parents in front of the consular officer or a notary public. Depending on the circumstances forms F15 and/or F16 should also be submitted.
