External Hiring
External hiring has been open for candidates in the areas of elementary, ESOL, math and special education since mid-April.
We have continued to analyze the vacancy data by content area, and are now able to allow external hiring in the following additional content areas: Art, Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Music, Physical Education, and Spanish. Click here for a visual representation by job title/content area of the status of external hiring.External hiring status by job title/content area may change on a weekly basis (i.e., it is possible that a content area that is currently open will close).
Remember, all candidates must have completed our online application before a Recommendation to Hire form is submitted on their behalf.

Only after completing the training will you receive access to these candidates through the ATS.

Window of Mutual Consent and Centralized Placement
The Window of Mutual Consent has been extended to June 1st; this means that you still have two full weeks to identify current, transfer-eligible employees to fill your school's vacancies.
After June 1st, mutual consent will remain open for surplus employees as these employees are in need of funded positions. Beginning August 1st, the Human Capital Office will start centrally assigning any remaining surplus employees into vacancies in accordance with their job titles/certification areas.
While we will continue to manage the vacancy landscape closely throughout the summer to ensure that we do not over-hire in a given content area, we strongly encourage you to identify candidates for your vacancies (in areas that are open for external hiring) as quickly as possible.
