FOX Sports South and SportSouth to Televise

151 Atlanta Braves Games during 2011 MLB Regular Season

81 Games Scheduled for SportSouth and 70 Slated for FOX Sports South

Spring Training Coverage Begins March 27 @ 1 p.m. ET on FOX Sports South vs. Phillies

For the first time ever, FOX Sports South and SportSouth will televise a combined 151 Atlanta Braves games during the 2011 Major League Baseball season, with all games scheduled to be televised in high definition. New this year, FOX Sports South and SportSouth will be the outer market providers of Atlanta-based Peachtree TV’s (WPCH-TV) 45 game telecasts. In prior years, the Peachtree TV games were distributed on a variety of television outlets throughout the Braves outer market.

The Braves open the regular season on SportSouth when they visit the Washington Nationals on Thursday, March 31 at 1 p.m. ET in the first of 81 games scheduled to be televised on the network. The 70-game FOX Sports South schedule includes 24 Sunday Braves games, plus 46 weeknight contests.

In addition to its 151-game package, FOX Sports South and SportSouth will televise four Spring Training games, including two exhibition games live from Turner Field. See attached for the complete Braves telecast schedule.

Play-by-play announcer Chip Caray and analyst Joe Simpson partner for their second season together in the FOX Sports South and SportSouth broadcast booth. Caray enters his ninth season calling Braves games, while Simpson returns for his twentieth. Braves LIVE, the only 30-minute pre-game and expanded post-game show for game telecasts on FOX Sports South and SportSouth, returns for the 2011 season. Host Fred Hickman will be joined by analysts and former Braves standouts Ron Gant and Brian Jordan and reporter Jerome Jurenovich. The broadcast team for the 45 Peachtree TV games will be announced at a later date.

The Braves regular-season telecast schedule includes 75 games from Turner Field and 76 road contests. National League East opponents are featured in 67 games and all 2010 National League playoff teams are represented, including six games featuring a rematch of the Braves’ 2010 NL Division Series against the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. The schedule also includes inter-league games against the Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Angels, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays.
