Name: Position: Specification Sales Representative
Accountable to: Darren Williams – Regional Sales Director – Southern Region
Summary of Job
To ensure complete satisfaction in the services and goods provided by the company so that it may fulfil its obligations to its customers.
To observe and give effect to the objectives, policies and plans as laid down by the Board of Directors.
To assist the Regional Sales Director in meeting the requirements of the Board of Directors.
Responsibilities & Duties
1) To maintain and increase profitable business from your given area.
2) To develop and maintain good customer relationships, to ensure a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times, to assist in overcoming problems and to report to the RSD areas where it is felt improvements can be implemented.
3) To ensure that the CRM database is updated daily, with activities entered and completed on time and that all customer records are updated on a regular basis.
4) To ensure all outstanding contractor quotations are followed up on a monthly basis and accurate 3 monthly predictions are provided to your RSD on or around the 3rd of every month.
5) To ensure that all outstanding Specifier quotations are followed up and CRM records are kept up to date on a weekly basis.
6) To discuss with the RSD yearly targets for your given area.
7) To promote products from all our manufacturing and give the required priority to ensure that all agreed product targets are achieved.
8) To participate fully in all sales training and conferences as arranged at regional or national levels.
9) To co-ordinate and liaise with the RSD on contracts where assistance is needed.
10) To liase and co-operate fully with the Sales Management and other Representatives of Allgood plc and the staff of Group companies to ensure contracts are secured, service is maintained and Group business value is increased.
11) To maintain contact with and to assist personnel in Commercial and Operations departments with regard to all contracts ordered and to draw the attention of contracts and purchasing management at the earliest opportunity to any project requiring urgent attention or including items of special nature.
12) To ensure that all information entered onto CRM has been downloaded to the central server on a regular basis.
13) To ensure that all company standards for external letters, internal and external emails and faxes are adhered to.
14) To arrange with the assistance of the Marketing department, local exhibitions and corporate entertainment and be available to support national exhibitions when required.
15) To follow and use the sample procedure including the active retrieval of samples after a reasonable period of time.
16) To treat with the respect all company property entrusted to you and return same as directed by the company.
17) You may be required from time to time to perform certain tasks that are not part of your job description for which you will be viewed as capable of performing. This reflects the Company’s approach to job flexibility in which you are expected to participate.
