  • The $100 million Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation measures 275,000 square feet, expanding the current size of the Hankamer School of Business by 40 percent.
  • El Paso businessman and Baylor graduate Paul L. Foster, B.B.A. ’79, provided an historic $35 million gift to support the University's $100 million campaign to construct the new facility.
  • In addition to Paul Foster and his family, more than 530 donors have contributed major gifts to the Foster Campus so far.
  • Nearly 60 percent of the costs associated with construction of the facility have been spent locally.
  • Construction includes more than 13,400 cubic yards of concrete, 580 tons of steel, one mile of underground piping, more than 10 miles of high-speed cabling and 26,000 square feet of brick masonry.
  • The Foster Campus is designed to accommodate innovation, flexibility and interaction. Among its features:
  • 41 classrooms, 36 team rooms and numerous seminar spaces to accommodate more than 3,300 undergraduate and graduate students and more than 240 faculty members.
  • 267 offices for administrators and faculty in the School’s 15 academic departments.
  • A 10,000 square-foot atrium with a café, providing collaborative and social space.
  • A 9,200 square-foot conference center providing flexibility to host seminars, symposia and conferences for business professionals, as well as banquet seating for more than 300 people.
  • A 350-seat auditorium providing space for large classes and guest lectures.
  • Innovative technologies such as lecture capture, video conferencing and distance learning capabilities.
  • Zero chalkboards and 154 displays.
  • A state-of-the-art financial markets centerthat will simulate the environment of an investment firm, giving students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio.
  • Sustainability efforts include innovative mechanical systems, dimmable LED lighting, daylighting, green power and water-use reduction.Baylor will seek LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, certification on the Foster Campus.
