2018-2019 General Psychiatry Residency Application Requirements

/ Completed ERAS Application - Only ERAS applications will be considered. / Personal statement
/ 3 Letters of recommendation, and each must be written by US physicians and dated within the past 12 months
/ Official medical school transcript (with registrar’s signature and seal).
/ Dean’s letter or MSPE (Medical Student Performance Evaluation).
/ USMLE SCORE REQUIREMENTS:
USMLE Step 1
- Preference is given to candidates who pass on the first attempt and with Step 1 scores of 200 or greater;
- Preference is given to candidates who pass on the first attempt and with Step 2CK scores of 225 or greater;
- Preference is given to candidates who pass on the first attempt ONLY. Should you fail Step 2CS your application will not be considered.
- Preference is given to FMG candidates who pass on the first attempt. Passage of Step 3 is recommended, but not required.
COMLEX Level 1
- Preference is given to candidates who pass on the first attempt and with Level 1 scores of 425 or greater;
- Preference is given to candidates who pass on the first attempt and with Level 2 CE scores of 425 or greater;
- Preference is given to candidates who pass on the first attempt ONLY. Should you fail Level 2 PE application will not be considered.
- All candidates must demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Completed Applications must be received in ERAS no later than November 10, 2017.
