Gospel

Preparing for journeys can be tedious. Preparation is normally essential for a journey. Jesus sends his disciples on the journey for which preparation was not to take away from the urgency and immediacy of the task of proclaiming Gods Kingdom. There is a danger that we might spend too much time preparing for our role in building the Kingdom of God, and as a result miss opportunities to make Christ present to those we meet.

Priest on duty this weekend: Fr Con Buckley 087-2998191

Reflection

Lord make me an instrument of your peace, where there is hatred let me sow love, where there is injury, pardon

Where there is doubt, faith

Where there is darkness, light

Where there is sadness, joy

Oh divine master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;

To be understood, as to understand;

To be loved, as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;

It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

-  St Francis of Assisi
