Release Notes

Below outlines the RF Service Requests that wereaddressed in the most recent release for the RF Report Center. This release was moved into the production environment on Saturday, June 27th.

Category / Description / BI Service Request Numbers
1 / Enhancement / A new responsibility called OBIEE Dashboard Financial Reports was created to allow users access to the following dashboards: Financial Reports, Financial Report to Management, Key Performance Indicators and the Operation Managers Dashboard.
Note: This access has not been released for assignment and further communications regarding this access will follow. / 325031
2 / Enhancement / Grants Snapshot Month End Reconciliation Process –The grants snapshot month end process was revised to add a reconciliation process that will send an alert notification to the Reporting Team indicating that dollars are not reconciled to Production as of that month end. / 324958

July 2015 Release:

Subject Area: Post Award Management: Folder – Person Assignment – Added new data element: Operating Location.
Subject Area: Human Resources Operational Data Store: Folder – Person Extra Information – Added the following data element: ONET Description.
Subject Area: Post Award Management: Folder – Award Team and Project Team – Added the following data element: Award Management Installments: Folder – Award Team – Added the following data element: Email Address.
Subject Area: Grants Snapshot: Added new folders with appropriate data elements. New Folders are: Award-Post Award Management, Project-Post Award Management, and Project Tasks-Post Award Management. The purpose is when the user doesn’t want analysis result to reflect prior month data element value.
New Subject Area: Cash Management: This new subject area will contain the cash management bank statement information for central office only.
New Subject Area: CO Investments – This new subject area will contain high level data of central office investments on a monthly basis. Subject area limited to central office only.
Subject Area: Human Resources Operation Date Store: Folder – Person – Added a new data element – Latest Start Date. This data element will return the latest start date information from a person record in Oracle Human Resources Module.
Change the ‘from’ email address from the Report Center to be ‘RF Report Center’
Subject Area: COEUS Proposal Credit Distribution: Folder – Fact – All Dollar Fields. Was rounding the cents field and should not have been.
Subject Area: Human Resources Operational Data Store: Folder – HR Details – The field CRIS Code was displaying an alpha character when the field in HR EBS Apps contains a number.
Subject Area: Grants Snapshot: Folder – Sponsor – Date Element – Agency 3 was not consistently populated for fiscal year 2014.
Subject Area: General Ledger – Journal: Addressed the issue of when joining approved by field to the journal amount field incorrect results were being returned.
Subject Area: COEUS Proposal – Folder – Proposal – Addressed the issue of a proposal number was not being picked up in analysis.
Subject Area: Human Resources Operational Data Store > Person Folder. Data element Person Type was not consistently populating for External.
Subject Area: Grants Snapshot Financial Reporting > Location Name data element had dollars in the organization name ‘p business group’ and should only contain dollars for location 001 RF SUNY. Issue was with organization id.
Responsibility OBIEE Reporting HR with Benefits was not granting access to HR legacy subject area.
Award Administrative Inquiry was giving the user an error on the budgets section that exceeded capacity. Made change to configuration to allow more sections to be displayed.
Subject Area: Grants Snapshot Project Credit Distribution – remove the fact field called ‘ FYE Expenditure’ as we have ‘Credit FYE Expenditure’
Subject Area: Grants Snapshot – Sponsor Name field had a not applicable in five awards for June 2015 month end.
Subject Area: Grants Snapshot Financial Reporting, fact field ATD Cash Surplus not balance with new field Major Sponsor Balance for June month end.
Subject Area: Grants Snapshot Financial Reporting SMO Facts was null for June 2015. To be implemented into production on July 27, 2015.
Subject Area: Innovations – Add three new fact fields New Start Ups Created, Startups Dependent on Licensing, and PI Submitting Invention disclosures. Implementation date is July 29, 2015.
Subject Area: Post Award Management > Award Principal Investigator and Project Principal Investigator > Data element Logon field was not populating correctly based upon Opt in or out on a Person in HR for the automatic alerts. Implementation date is August 3, 2015.
Upgrade Database Version to 11.2.0.4 – needed to stay on a supported version. To be implemented into production second weekend in August.
