Mythology Project

Create an Original Myth
Design your “character” and plan his/her story. Write the story in a booklet, illustrate the story with original drawings or clip art that is appropriate. Be prepared to read your myth to the class!
*If you use pictures from the internet, you MUST cite your sources. Points will be deducted for not doing so.* / Business World
Pretend you are a god, goddess or hero. You now find yourself in Houston, Texas in 2016. Based on your super powers you must start a business to support yourself in today’s society. Create a business based on your skills.

Create a newspaper that the gods might have read. You will need to include popular sections just like a real newspaper. Your paper should be old and worn looking or can be in the form of a scroll. Be creative!

Make a Board Game
Create a board game based on some aspect of Mythology. This could be a game about the Greek Gods, a game about the underworld, the twelve labors of Hercules, or even a game with the major gods and goddesses. You decide. Needs to be creative and a game that you can actually play!

Create 6 trading cards. It can be a combination of gods, goddesses, heroes, and creatures.

Create a modern day version of Pandora’s box. Decorate the box to look like a treasure chest that is irresistible.

Mask. Symbol. Doll
Create a doll, symbol, or mask that represents your favorite god, goddess or monster. This must actually be an actual doll, symbol made out of a material other than paper or a mask that you create out of objects.

Choose 10 objects to represent various parts of mythology. Hang the items from string on ONE clothes hanger and explain their meaning during the presentation.
You can choose a god, goddess, monster or hero. You will need to hang items that represent that character. (For example, a lightning bolt for Zeus, a crown because he is the king of all gods, etc.)
