Peak Wellness Center Deeply Impacted by Budget Cuts
Cheyenne, WY – The State of Wyoming is experiencing financial and budgetary swings that have led to unusual programming changes. Peak Wellness Center, in response to the need to balance budget reductions, has unfortunately had to make difficult decisions in eliminating various programs.
With an allocated budget cut of approximately 9%, it has become apparent that Peak Wellness Center must continue to focus on the core service areas of its business model.Programs eliminated from the Peak service array have been carefully considered for effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, consideration has been made for how clients may better be served in other levels of service.
While approximately 16 staff positions will be eliminated through these program changes, Peak does have open positions in other programming areas that staff are being encouraged to pursue.
Peak is making every effort to ensure clients continue to receive premier care while also incorporating meaningful strategic planning processes with a focus of diversifying future funding.
Peak has been providing services for over 50 years in Goshen, Platte, Laramie and Albany counties and is looking toward the future of behavioral and substance abuse services. We are here to serve our communities and work together with our partners in bigger and bolder ways. If one can find a positive in this budget crunch, it would be that we are establishing new partnerships and relationships that will last far beyond this budget challenge.
