Abstract

This is a patented, paraben-free, humectant body wash composition for cleansing sensitive skin which comprises a gentle, non-irritant surfactant blend and preservatives. This composition can be easily prepared without the need of special mixing equipment.

Preparation

Phase A

In a suitable formulation vessel, with mechanical agitation, mix items 1 to 6 and heat the solution to 70° C to melt all solids.

Phase B

Allow mass to cool down to 50oC and then add and mix items 7 and 8.

Phase C

Add items 9 and 10 and mix until a viscous mass is obtained. Adjust the pH of the composition to 6 -7 with base or acid as required.

The final formulation looks white pearlescent and viscous. pH 6, Viscosity = 7,000 m.Pas. It also has the following properties (add properties or performance parameters).
