2. Minutes Agreed

3. Matters Arising from last meeting

  1. Insulation – LT agreed to look at insulation
  2. Light in the back car park – done
  3. Marion Meechan notified of playgroup vote
  4. SN and GP to arrange fitting the curtain poles (Action SN)
  5. MJ spoke to BT about having WiFi included with sports package however they don’t do commercial deals. Agreed to go ahead with sports package for a year at £77 per month.

4. Entertainment Report

  • The Christmas raffle is doing well.
  • Saturday 22nd November – Mike Millerchip music night
  • Saturday 29th November – decorations going up

The accounts have been sent to Maxwell’s. There is an expected profit of approximately £11,000 this year.

7. Secretary’s Report (SN)

Reported on the email received from James Stevens regarding the arrangements for the forthcoming wedding. SN advised that she had not been notified of a late licence requirement. Committee agreed to apply for a late licence and Mick to see if he can arrange extra staffing for the night.(Action SN and MJ)

8. Chairman’s Report

LP reported that he received a bogus call from a Gas/Electricity supplier advising if he signed up to a new deal that day he would be awarded 40% discount.

9. Individual Reports

Sam Chuter

  • People are letting their pets sit on the chairs. Agreed that MJ would speak to the people concerned (Action MJ)
  • SC requested £100 for new Christmas decorations – this was agreed.

Mick Jones

  • MJ reported that the branch is being given £100 for the raffle and £200 for the bugler for Remembrance Sunday.

Val Gubby

  • VG reported that the children’s party will be on 7th December from 4pm-6pm.
  • Bingo donated £150 last year to the party and £150 to the club. This year they will be donating £200 to the party and £50 to the poppy appeal.
  • VG reported that she had received a letter from RBL re data protection. It was agreed that members contact details could be used for club purposes but could not be given to a third party.

Bob Rawlinson

  • Asked the Committee if staff wages should be reviewed. It was agreed to increase Mick’s pay by 50p per hour, increase Bob and Sarah’s pay to £50 per week, and Jo’s pay to £7 per hour.
  • It was agreed to give the Committee a bottle of wine and a box of sweets this year.
  • BR informed SC that he can get 10-15% at Sainsburys if needed for the Christmas Draw.

Sarah Nash

  • Advised that Zena is now selling rolls again on a Friday – all proceeds going towards a dishwasher for the kitchen.
