What is the International Aerospace Quality Group? (IAQG)

The IAQG is a cooperative global organization of companies providing Aviation, Space and Defense products and services; and Land and Sea based systems for defense applications. See our website:

The Mission of the IAQG is to achieve significant performance improvements in Quality, Delivery, and consequently Cost, on all products and services throughout the value stream by working together on initiatives and improvements in the way products and services are developed and deployed in the industry.

This is done thru IAQG member companies working together to bring initiatives to life, which will achieve the IAQG’s mission.

Notable projects which the IAQG has completed and implemented in the Aviation and Space industries include 9100 and the 9000 series of documents; and the Supply Chain Management Handbook.

The IAQG represents all the major manufacturing companies involved in the worldwide Aviation, Space and Defense industry. (See Membership).

The IAQG meets twice a year. The next meeting is October 10 – 11th, 2013 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

What is the Supplier Forum?

The Supplier Forum is a meeting which is held specifically to inform the Aerospace Supply Chain as to what the IAQG is doing; to get feedback from suppliers on our efforts; and to give suppliers the opportunity to talk directly with their customers (IAQG members).

The Supplier Forum is a one-day meeting – October 10, 2013.

The agenda for the Supplier Forum has been designed to give you a broad overview of the industry and what the IAQG is doing. This is accomplished in the opening presentations to all Forum attendees. Then, before lunch, we will start a series of workshops, which will enable you to gain greater insight into important topics for quality control at aerospace suppliers. There will be three workshops being conducted at the same time. Please see the proposed agenda, which has been attached to the e-mail for details. After lunch there will be three more series of workshops.

The topics for the workshops are those, which we believe, will be of the most interest to the Forum attendees. In each of the three workshops, there will be a presentation by one of the Performance Excellence Marketplace (PEM) companies in attendance. These are companies who are committed to serving the needs of the aerospace community. You will have the opportunity to meet the PEMs and see how their products and services may serve your needs as well.

In addition to the Supplier Forum, you are invited to attend the meetings of the various IAQG working groups who will be meeting on Wednesday October 9, 2013. A preliminary list of meetings is included with this e-mail. NOTE: this list of meetings has not been finalized and we cannot guarantee at this time that all of these groups will be meeting on Wednesday. You will be able to attend any meeting which is “open” on Wednesday October 9, 2013.

How does my company get to participate in the Supplier Forum?

All companies who receive this invitation are eligible to attend the Supplier Forum.

To attend the Supplier Forum, you need to register each person from your company who will be participating.

The cost to register is $200 for each person.

Your registration enables you to: attend team meetings during the day on Wednesday; attend the Supplier Forum reception at the hotel on Wednesday night (6:30PM – 8:00PM); attend the Supplier Forum on Thursday; have continental breakfast and lunch with IAQG members on Thursday; meet the PEM companies; and gain the ability to download all presentations made in connection with the Supplier Forum for your company’s use.
